Special items

Using special items, you can increase the level of Aesir, remove and keep runes and gems, yield resources safely, find out the duration of a Peace Treaty in an enemy Town, and much more.

Soul Shard is a special item needed for increasing the level of Aesir and learning secret Knowledge in the Oracle.

You can get Soul Shards:

  • For killing enemy warriors from foreign Kingdoms
  • For destroying neutral troops that defend Towers of Fury
  • For destroying troops led by jötunns during a Stronghold siege

The number of all the Soul Shards that you have is displayed in Resources section of the My Items tab.

Star Shards are required for upgrading Town Skins, which give you bonuses and allow you to change your Town's appearance on the Global Map. Read more about Skins in the Town Skins section.

To get Star Shards, you need to complete Quests and participate in Competitions. You can also find these items in Hero's Coffrets or purchase them as part of Bank offers.

The number of all the Star Shards you have is displayed in the My Items tab, Resources section.

A Diamond Knife is an item necessary for removing gems from equipment. In this case, the gem is saved in the Cache and may be used again. To remove a gem of a specific class, you need the Diamond Knife item of the same class or higher. Using a Legendary Diamond Knife, you will be able to remove and save a gem of any class.

Every Jarl who starts the game receives one Simple and one Usual Diamond Knife. The items disappear after you apply them.

Unusual, Rare, Epic, and Legendary Diamond Knives are available in the Item Store for Gold; you can also purchase them as part of Bank offers. As for Simple and Usual Diamond Knives, you can buy them in the Clan Store for Loyalty Points. The number of all the items you have is displayed in the My Items tab, Bonuses section.

A Runic Knife is an item needed for removing runes from equipment. In this case, the rune is saved in the Collection and may be used again. To remove a rune of a specific class, you need the Runic Knife item of the same class or higher. Using a Legendary Runic Knife, you will be able to remove and save a rune of any class.

Runic Knives disappear after you apply them. You can purchase them in the Item Store for Gold. The number of all the items you have is displayed in the Bonuses section of the My Items tab.

Guard Payoff is a special item that allows you to find out the duration of the Peace Treaty in other Jarls' Towns.

You can purchase the item in the Item Store for Gold, in the Clan Store for Loyalty Points, and as part of Bank offers. You also have a chance to get it by attacking Uber Invaders.

To purchase and/or apply the item, you just need to select a Town with an activated Peace Treaty on the Global Map and hit the "Guard Payoff" button in the window that appears.

After you have applied the item, a message containing information about the Peace Treaty's start and end time will arrive in your game mail. This information is accurate at the time when you use the item and may change depending on the actions of the enemy Jarl.

The number of all the items you have is displayed in the My Items tab, Military section. The Guard Payoff item cannot be activated from the Item Store.

Domain Guard is a special item that allows your warriors to safely yield resources in any resource location (including Invaders' and Uber Invaders' Lairs, and Ghost Shelters).

To activate an item, select the resource location occupied by your troops and hit the "Domain Guard" button.

You can also activate the protection of a location in the Garrisons tab of the Shrine of Odin by selecting the troop that is yielding resources.

Domain Guard items vary in duration — 1 hour and 3 hours. You can earn them for personal and Clan achievements in the Kingdoms Battle: Revenge global Competition. Please note: you can get the Domain Guard item for personal achievements only if your Kingdom wins, and for Clan achievements regardless of the Competition result.

If you apply several items, their durations are added together. If you activate the 1-Hour Domain Guard item, and then the 3-Hour Domain Guard item, the location where your troops are yielding resources will be protected for 4 hours.

Important! You can apply this item only when your troops are in the resource location. If your troop leaves the protected location (if yielding is finished or if you recall your troops early), the Domain Guard item will stop working.

The number of all the items you have is displayed in the My Items tab, Military section.

Task Refresher is an item that you can use to refresh the list of Tasks.

All Personal, Clan, and Premium Tasks are refreshed once every six hours, but you can speed this up by using the Personal Task Refresher, Clan Task Refresher, and Premium Task Refresher items. Tasks of the same category are given at random.

Task Refresher items are available in the Item Store for Gold, in the Clan Store for Loyalty Points, and as part of Bank offers. In addition, you can receive them as a reward for visiting the game daily and attacking Invaders/Uber Invaders.

There's no point in using the Clan Task Refresher item if you are not a Clan member. The Premium Task Refresher item also shouldn't be applied if you haven't activated VIP status.

The number of all the items you have is displayed in the My Items tab, Bonuses section.

Inventory Expander is an item that adds four extra slots for the Hero's and Shaman's equipment.

Additional Landmarks is an item that allows you to receive 10 additional landmarks.

You need landmarks to mark the places you're interested in on the Global Map. There are 25 landmarks available for you by default, but their number increases by 10 every time you apply the Additional Landmarks item. You can purchase this item in the Item Store for Gold.

This item is available in the Item Store for Gold and as part of Bank offers. You also have a chance to get it as a reward for entering the game daily and for attacking Invaders/Uber Invaders.

Important! VIP status is activated automatically (if a Jarl receives a new VIP level) or by using the VIP Status Activation item. Bonuses are active for a limited amount of time, then VIP status expires and you need to activate it again.

The number of all the items you have is displayed in the My Items tab, Bonuses section.

Please note: the Bonuses section of the My Items tab also contains the Change Userpic, Change Name, and Rename Town items. You can use them to change your avatar, your name, and your Town's name, respectively.
